Mentoring
Mentoring lies at the heart of everything we do at The Yellow House. It plays a vital role in fostering achievement at key milestones in each child’s learning journey. We allocate a dedicated 60-minute session each week for pupils and their Key Workers to engage in meaningful discussions about various aspects of their lives, including academic progress, therapeutic interventions, friendships, personal relationships, health and hygiene, and transition planning.
Our mentors are trained in utilizing a Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)-informed toolkit, equipping them to effectively address any challenges your child may encounter. Through mentoring, we prioritize your child’s needs, ensuring they remain at the centre of their personal learning journey while they are with us at The Yellow House School.
Your mentor will also serve as your child’s Key Worker, making them your primary contact within the school. This consistent support system fosters a strong relationship that promotes growth, understanding, and success.
